Welcome to our blog!

Welcome! We always have so much going on in our lives and places we are visiting, so I thought this would be a good way to document it. We have bought a house and had a baby in the past year, so we definitely have stuff to talk about! Hopefully, this blog is something that Dylan will be able to look back on one day and see all the things we did!

Dylan Jacob was born on 1/9/11 at 12:36 am. He was 9 lbs 7 oz and 22 inches. Not exactly small! Dylan is Josh's middle name, so he has a connection to his daddy. Plus, D is also Josh's father's first initial, and J is my father's first initial so it has a lot of meaning. He is now 9 weeks old today and such a cute little thing! He has started filling out and looking like a little boy not a newborn. It's so cute and so sad that he is already getting so big! I have been on maternity leave and have just been loving getting to be home with him. We don't really have any schedule, so we haven't gotten much done around the house, but spending time with him is worth it. When he snuggles up on me and falls asleep, it is pretty hard to want to put him down and paint or do dishes instead! I posted a couple of pictures from when he was born below. I will post some recent ones soon.

We are usually on the go a lot, visiting friends and family or running errands. He hasn't slowed us down too much, it just takes us longer to do things now! He has already been to RI, ME and NH and a couple of weekends ago he went on his first flight out to CA to visit San Francisco and Sonoma. He was fantastic on the flights and in CA, we were very impressed. We are hoping to get him used to traveling early since I travel so much for work and we like to go on little trips and we would love to continue that. Plus, because of my frequent traveling, Josh is able to fly free with me for a year on Southwest. So we are trying to take as many little trips as we can until the end of the year to take advantage of it. If anyone has any suggestions for places to visit, let me know! The hope is Josh and him will be able to travel with me on a few of my work trips in the fall too. It all depends on the places I will have to go.
